Common Ground, as a forming ecovillage, is committed to include a substantial and diverse educational component. The physical and biological properties of our land as well as the proximity of several universities and research companies present unique opportunities for Common Ground to become an ecological education center. Common Ground Ecovillage is also a great place for recreational activities using our fields, forests and trails.
At present, we are in the beginning stages of building the village, and this, in itself, will provide numerous occasions for cooperative and practical learning as the residences, farm layout and infrastructure are established on the land. Our member’s interests and skills are quite varied and we strongly believe that knowledge shared makes life richer. Common Ground will also be happy to consider sharing our land and resources for appropriate educational programs and events.
